Buriram Paddock Build-Up Begins as Cargo Arrives in Thailand

MotoPortal StaffFebruary 24, 2026

The 2026 MotoGP season is about to roar into life as the first shipping containers have arrived at the Chang International Circuit in Buriram, Thailand. Crew members from all eleven teams have been spotted in the paddock area, setting up garages and unpacking equipment that has traveled thousands of miles from European headquarters.

This year's Thai Grand Prix carries extra weight as it marks the beginning of what many predict will be one of the most competitive seasons in the sport's history. With Marc Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia sharing the Ducati Lenovo garage, and Pedro Acosta entering his second year on a factory KTM, the storylines heading into Round 1 are compelling.

Circuit preparations are also well underway, with fresh asphalt laid on several corners during the off-season and upgraded grandstand facilities expected to accommodate over 100,000 fans across the weekend.
