Liberty Media Confirms Record Ticket Sales for 2026 Season Opener

Liberty Media, the new commercial rights holders of MotoGP, have confirmed that ticket sales for the 2026 Thai Grand Prix have broken all previous records for an opening round. Over 120,000 tickets have been sold for the three-day event, surpassing the previous best set at the 2023 Indonesian Grand Prix.

The surge in interest is largely attributed to the compelling rider lineup changes during the off-season. Marc Marquez's move to the factory Ducati team alongside Francesco Bagnaia, combined with Pedro Acosta's meteoric rise through the ranks, has captured the imagination of fans worldwide.

Liberty Media's investment in digital content and social media engagement has also played a significant role, with MotoGP's Instagram following growing by 40% since the acquisition was finalized late last year.
